It is 12 days Course which is approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping (Government of India). As per the guidelines of the Directorate General (D.G.) Shipping, a minimum batch strength of 25% of the sanctioned intake is mandatory for the commencement of a course. In the event that the number of enrolled candidates falls below the required minimum batch strength, the commencement of the course shall be postponed to the next available batch without any additional charges to the candidate. Important Notice: As per D.G.Shipping Order 12 of 2026, with effect from 01 August 2026, Indian CDCs will not be issued solely on the basis of completing the 5 Basic STCW Courses (BST & STSDSD)
