About This Course
It is a 1 year course approved by Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India. It is a course leading to Second Mate Foreign-going Certificate of Competency (COC) awarded by DG Shipping after 18 months of sea service. It is a strictly residential course. It enables the CADET to become Navigation Officer onboard in Merchant Navy Ships worldwide.

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification
PCM – 60% in HSC/ ISC (Relaxation 5% for SC/ST) English – 50% either in 10th or HSC/ ISC.
IMU CET
Qualified in IMU CET Exam
Age Limit
General – 17 Yrs. to 25 Yrs. OBC – Upto 28 Yrs (Relaxation – 3 Yrs) SC/ST – Upto 30 Yrs (Relaxation – 5 Yrs)
Medical Standard
Medically fit as per the DGS Guidelines.
